New TN SLide Gate System for Ladle

TYK-A successfully supplies its TN series of ladle slide gate system and refractories to North American steelmills. The concept is defined by a smaller, simpler, customizable machine design, requiring no or little ladle modifications. In comparison with current ladle slide gate systems in use, this new system presents many advantages, including reduced plate size and weight, less mechanical parts, simpler maintenance and easy operation. Results in-plants trials in North America confirms the performance of the mechanical design and plate material with longer casting sequence and better cast steel quality.

New anti-clogging material for SEN

TYK has developed a whole range of anti-clogging materials designed to reduce or eliminate alumina deposition in the bore and ports of submerged entry nozzles used in the continuous casting of steel. These materials have been successfully evaluated in several North American shops. Significant improvements in SEN life and steel quality have been achieved.
